I know I haven't updated.
Since I updated in July I've lost about 10 pounds, and 4 inches from my waist.
Woo hoo!

I've just stuck to eating well, cheating once a week with a meal I've been craving (pizza, chinese, burgers whatever.) and working out at least 3 days a week either at home or the gym! YAY!

Chris made a good dinner tonight of grilled chicken breasts with raspberry and dijon mustard sauce, and some pasta. YUM!

It's been my goal this 4 day weekend to do at least 1 hour of cardio exercise and 20 minutes of weight training a day. I've stuck to it every day except sunday (I was freakin tired from lack of water and the heat.)

I feel soooo good!

I also lost 2.8 pounds this week!

Wooohooo! And the loss continues...

I lost 1.6 pounds this week and one inch from my hips.
I've been going to the gym everyday and doing yoga or pilates at night.

I kind of over ate today and I'm not gonna give a fuck until tomorrow when I will work out at the gym and eat better.

I listen to these people on my iPod while I work out:
-Peaches
-Gorrillaz
-David Bowie
-Gnarls Barkley
-The Faint
-Chicks On Speed

I think that's it.

Damn, Mari Winsor you crazy.

I just did her Maximum Fat Burning Workout, and it pretty much kicks ass. It's like salsa and pilates concepts melted together! HOT!

I've started taking Chromium Picolinate and I hope it works!

I think the most rewarding thing is when other people can tell that I've lost weight. Because most of the time I sure as hell can't.

I'd really like to join a gym soon.

I feel like I should be serenaded personally by Freddy Mercury (RIP).
I'm serious.

I lost 2 more pounds this week.
Woohoo! I know it's not as much as last week's 3.5, but still 2 is awesome. If I can lost 2 a week for next 3 months I can be at my goal in no time!

Last week was pretty stressful, and I missed two of my circuit-training classes, so I was surprised as all hell when I saw the scale last night! Hopefully I can lost at least 3 a week, but I'd be happy with two.

I can't believe that I am losing even with Chris and I having our weekly cheat/movie night. Which is tonight, because he closes for the rest of the weekend.

Hopefully this week we will do a week-long detox diet. I don't know how feasible that is seeing as how it will be expensive and I am broke as a joke. But, we'll see. I'd be content waiting, as I am eating well despite not detoxing.

I look at Suicide Girls everyday for motivation. The girls are real, and cute, and sometimes you can see their stretchmarks which is humbling because I have stretchmarks, too! I am also part of a weight loss group there so the motivation that stems from the group is pertty awesome.
But, mostly it's the naked girls.
I really want the yoga pants, cos they're super cute.

Last week despite cheating on Friday with Tony's pizza and licorice, I lost 3.5 pounds. I was so stoked. And now I feel like I can finally see it. My little belly pooch is exactly that: little. It's literally melting away. It's like half the size it was when I started, which is hot. My love handles are melting too! And! And! AND! My butt is looking so good, it's crazy.

Because my car was on the fritz this week, I didn't get to make it to my circuit training class on wednesday. Hopefully it will be fixed Monday because I miss it a lot! I've been doing 45 minutes of intense pilates everyday, and I think that's what's made the difference in my belly this week.

We cheated again last night for movie night with pizza and licorice, but I don't feel too bad because like the week before I cut calories throughout the day to insure that I would go overboard.

Hopefully I will feel like taking pictures this week!

I know I haven't been posting calorie counts everyday, but I AM actively keeping track of them.

Yesterday's count was 1,130. Pretty cool, huh?

I am going to weigh myself in class tonight, and hopefully I will see another drop!

Here is a list of stuff I've noticed from my weight loss and eating/exercise changes:
- Better skin. Yeah, like you thought it couldn't get any better.
- More Energy.
- My body-shape is changing.
- My tummy feels good all the time.
- I feel more and more compelled to do good things for myself like, shaving my legs, painting my nails, wearing make-up, etc.

In the next few weeks [info]aurora_armijo and I are going to do a detox diet as part of a book that Chris bought for me. It's basically a four-week program to get you ready to wear bikinis! I like it because it's not drastic, the diet section is just sensible eating like I'm doing anyway. I like the work-out sections of it, as well! And it's got skin-care sections too which is awesome!

It's 12:20 in the morning, and my belly is growling like I didn't feed it well today (which I did, incredibly well.)
What's a girl to do?
A- Warm up lunch leftovers.
B- Go to bed with an empty belly.
C- Make a snack!

If you chose C, you're right.

I ate a butter flavor rice cake with a little smear of reduced-fat peanut butter. Makes for a calorie count of less than 100, and my belly is satisfied. Warming up my leftovers would've been over-eating, and going to bed hungry would've made my body go crazy thinking I'm starving.

mmmmm.

Oh and, welcome new people who are not so new to my regular journal.

I found a cuuuute bathing suit at Target.
My goal is to look cute in it for summertime.

...Even though I don't know where I'll wear it...

So far, I've lost about 21 pounds. With About 20-25 pounds more to go!
I can't tell a difference, unfortunately.

So much for updating often, right?

Well we're coming up on the new year, kids. And like everyone else my (main) resolution is to lose weight...and pretty hardcore-like.

Diet:
My dieting goal is basically to eat better. More salad, veggies, rice, etc. I am competely cutting out soda (I only drink Sprite, but that's gonna stop), fast food (bye-bye weinerschnitzel...unless I decide i deserve a cheat), nastiness. I am also going to drink green tea daily, because it's supposed to help your metabolism a whole lot. A typical day should look like this:
Breakfast: about 200 calories cereal and fruit, yogurt and tea, etc. something light
Snack: 100 calories fruit, string cheese, yogurt, something fresh or dairy
Lunch: about 200-300 calories steamed or fresh veggies, subway sandwich, yogurt, etc.
Dinner: about 400-500 calories I'm not going to be as specific here, but I generally want fresh/natural/good things like steamed veggies, chicken breast, brown rice, etc. If dinner needs to be quick or I am eating with Chris while he is at work we can have Sweet Tomatoes, stir fries at Luby's, Burrito Bols or salads at Chipotle, Teriyaki at Teriyaki Don, etc. Good stuff.
Snack: 80-100 calories Here I can have fruit, popcorn, or a piece of chocolate. I've begun to crave dark chocolate, and usually I only eat one piece. This is usually when we watch our movies and with movies come snacks, but it's not hard for us to choose healthier snacks. Also, I want to have one cheat

Exercise:
My goal is to exercise at least an hour and half at least 5 days a week. I am going to rotate my exercise tapes, yoga, and the ab-lounger. I bought myself the 2nd Carmen Electra DVD which is really just a cardio work out. This week I am signing up for a 4-week yoga intro class at Fig Garden Yoga Studio, I'm so excited! I did a yoga dvd for the first time on Friday and I felt so awesome afterward. So, yep...I'm going to be mixing up cardio/dance work outs, pilates, and yoga so I won't get bored. I also want to take a bellydance class, but I'll figure that out when the yoga intro is done.

So kids, that's basically what is going down with my new year. I hope to drop at least 20 pounds, if not 30 doing this. I need to set mini-goals and what not, but I'll save those for another post.

If you've been wondering why I haven't been posting:
I'VE BEEN BAD!

Yep. I ate Weinerschnitzel yesterday. And Del Taco like, Thursday. How gross, right? Well even though I've been fatting out, I've been counting calories like crazy. Which is good, right? Besides my fat ol' cheater days, I've topped out at 1,600 calories at the most. I haven't been keeping up with my exercise like I should, but I did a bellydance workout today which is 30 minutes of cardio and I'm hoping to squeeze in 30 minutes of pilates later as well, so that's pretty awesome! I plan on documenting my food/exercise a lot better this week. I also need to weigh myself so I can see progress in the numbers AND in my fat parts.

Morale and motivation are still high!
Go me! woohoo!

Oh and, once I weigh myself I'll give an exact date that I want to reach my goal. Awesome!

Also, when you guys crave food...what do you crave, and how do you satisfy it? Answer in comment form

snack: odwalla bar 110 cal

drinks: water, cherry lemonade, cranberry apple tea @ teazer's

I was under in my calories yesterday, I thought the burrito bol was gonna make it a bad, bad day but I was wrong. I didn't get to do my pilates or anything, but we did shop for about 2 hours, which was fun.

I have the day off from work today, so hopefully I will be able to fit in some pilates!

Hey guys!
Thanks for adding this journal! I am working on a real entry right now, but I didn't want the journal to look all barren and ugly. Today is the first day of this new diet and basically what I am doing is eating balanced, healthy meals instead of depriving myself. My ultimate goal is to lose 25 pounds, but I think the 25 pound goal might be a little high and put me at a pretty small size, so if I lose 15 and feel good I will stay there.

I'm doing this to feel healthy, to look good, but mostly to be happy with myself; which is happening already because exercising and eating well is making me feel super good!

Anyway, I hope to write in here daily keeping track of what I eat, my exercise habits, and also frustrations I know I will come across whether it is over cravings or frustration in general.

Most entries will be public, but picture entries will be friends-only so if you want to see those and you're not added, you'll need to do that. Also, I don't have a scale at the moment so I can't post my weightloss progress the way I would like, but I will try to get one in the next couple weeks. All commenting in your regular journals will be made with the [info]electric_red account, so if you have a diet/fitness filter or journal be sure to let me know. If you have me added just on this account and you JUST have a fitness/diet journal I will comment with this account.

Just stating the obvious.

Oh and don't expect an obligatory picture and onomatopoeia. ;)
